Splendid Andaman

I am nomadic Prasad. Currently staying at Bangalore and working in Pvt firm.

Since long time I was looking to go somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle of this modern city. I started getting itchy feet. I like traveling because travel broadens the mind. I always have thirst for adventure. I realized that it was time to hit the road. Journey from bangalore to port blair was bit hectic.

Port Blair is the only entry through which one can enter andaman.

Andaman is an Embodient of Paradise for those who love to stay in touch with nature. It is an abode of many beaches, islands, museum, science centre etc. Port blair is the capital city of andaman and the only entrypoint. 

One can cover corbyn cove beach and cellular jail in port blair. both are most touristic place and can be cover in one day. corbyn cove beach is an white sand beach with crystal clear water and known for water sports activities Jet Ski and Speed boat ride. cellular jail where political and penal rebellious were punished during british era also known as kala pani. cellular jail which is more popular for its sound and light show and it takes place in evning start by 5 and last show start by 8pm. There is 1 hour show which discovered journey of political and penal rebellious life they spent in cellular jail and struggle they faced during this period.

It is known as kala pani because the way to get out from this jail is only through water. 

Port Blair has a cosmopolitan culture. people prefer to have food and celebrate festivals according to their festival time and convenience. Seafood available here at restaurant is quite preferable for non-vegetarian. there are lot of food options to grab for vegetarian aswell. If someone have to roam around the port blair then one should go rent a bike service. it is an most effective manner to save money and ur time as well. Traveling here through pvt vehicle is bit expensive. Services like ola and uber are not available here.   

Travelling across any island in andaman is only possible through sea route. after port blair havelock is one of the most touristic place where people usually like to spend 3-4 days. To visit havelock from port blair one should visit port blair harbor where Govt and private ferries are available. To grab advantage of the ferry one needs pre-booking so that u can have a hassle-free travel. from port blair it will take 1.5hrs to 2hrs to reach havelock harbor. Havelock Island is just 20 mins away from havelock harbor. Renting a bike in havelock is also a suitable option to save time and money.  

Havelock is popular for it's white sandy beaches and water sports activies like sea-walk, scuba diving, snorkeling. there are total of 7 beaches to visit but few of them are very known. Radhanagar beach is the no 1 and well-known beach in all over the world. 

 After breakfast we were departed to port blair airport for onward excursion. It was time to farewell Andaman with lot of captivating moments.
