Captivating Andaman

This post is all about describing the journey of Andaman and Nicobar which I visited in 2019 march with the college group. 

I am fond of travel. whenever I get free time from my daily schedule I plan either a solo trip or a group tour. For me, the solo trip experienced I faced throughout my life till now was awesome but that really doesn't mean I didn't enjoy my group tour. When someone at accompanying others especially with huge people no matter what one feels always good and forgets their stress. Traveling is the only thing which I don't deny at any cost.

Travelling gives me motivation and positivity to look at other perspectives of my life as well as helps to become tenacious while going to arrive at any difficult decision.

let's come back to the point. Before going further I would like to take an initiative to introduce myself.

Hey folks. I am Prasad. Currently Staying in Mumbai. A few months back I have been to Andaman and Nicobar Island with my group. So sharing my perspective of the journey.

We initiated our journey through Mumbai Andheri airport on Friday night. we reached the airport around 1:00am as we had a flight by 2:30am. we arrived at port Blair by around 7:00am. The journey was through Chennai. Mumbai to Chennai which took 2 hours and Chennai to Port Blair which took another 2:30hrs. There was a half-hour break in between before boarding to Port Blair flight. On arrival, there was a man named Mr.Raju who waited outside held the name of the group to take us to the hotel.

Port Blair is the capital city and also the main entry through which one can enter Andaman and Nicobar island. It's the abode of many museums, Island, Science Centre, Beaches, etc.

At the initial day we had to cover Corbyn cove beach and later cellular jail in the afternoon as well in the evening we had to attend a light and sound show in the cellular jail. 

Corbyn cove beach one of the finest beaches which I saw at the initial phase of my journey which made my mindset fulfilled with a lot of excitement and had an eagerness to see other spots. A Beach with white sand, crystal clear water, and mainly known for water sports and sunset. Jet Ski and Speed boat were only the water sports which used to take place over there. Both don't have much difference in pricing but what I liked most was Jet Ski. 

Cellular Jail is known for Kala Pani Punishment. Cellular Jail was the place where political and penal convicts during the British era had faced the most brutal excess through British colonial in history. we reached cellular jail before 4:00pm in the evening. Sawarkar brothers and other reputed politicals patriots from different regions spent 10years of their life in that jail. The evening sound and light show was basically a glimpse of their's life and how they spent their days to days life with full of struggle while they were in jail. We had an overnight stay in Port Blair.  

We moved to havelock via ferry. To reach havelock island one must need to catch a ferry from Port Blair harbor. There are multiple ferries available according to time and convenience. If ur a privacy seeker and need to get away from the chaos of people then I would suggest private ferries will be the best option for u. ferries usually takes 1.5hrs to 2hrs to reach havelock. after getting down at havelock we decided to rent a bike to explore. the bike will charge u around 500 per day. Havelock Island is 20mins away by boat from havelock harbor.

Havelock island is well known for its white sandy beaches and water sports activity like Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Sea-Walk on the elephant beach we participated in. we had an overnight stay at Munjoh Ocean Resort in havelock only as we had to cover RadhaNagar beach on the very next day from the same island.

On the next day, our spot was RadhaNagar beach which was there in Havelock Island. The hotel to Radhanagar beach was only 20-25 mins distance by bike. Radhanagar beach was the finest beach that I ever came across. This beach is an embodiment of paradise for sunbathing, leisure walks, and water sports activities like kayaking and scuba-diving. after activities did we relaxed on the beach. again we had overnight on havelock.

Bharatpur Beach, Laxamanpur Beach, and Sitapur Beach were the main hotspot of Neil Island. we realized now the time has come to farewell havelock island. we started our journey with an early morning breakfast offered by our hotel and we reached havelock harbor. havelock harbor to Neil island usually takes 1 hrs to reach and the only way to reach is by ferries. This time overnight stay in SeaShell in Neil Island.     

We again arrived at port Blair. by early morning after breakfast, we left for Port Blair harbor. Neil island to port Blair harbor usually takes 1 hr.  We enjoyed our evening with leisure.
